Parish Finder

The website A Church Near You has just launched a very interesting new feature called "Parish Finder". This allows visitors to find out not only which is their nearest church but actually which parish they live in. This is very useful for people who want to get married.

The visitor puts their postcode into the search box and are then asked to indicate, by clicking, where on the map they live.

The result:

• A map is drawn with both the selected location and the parish boundary marked.


• The page indicates which parish this is in.


• Suggestions of nearest churches and their approximate distance and direction from the visitor's location are offered.


• Links to the A Church Near You page for each church on the map are also displayed so the visitor can find out more.
