Mothers' Union in Uganda

MY SCHOOL
The little school named "Nabukenya" after me has about 120 pupils now. I have managed to fund the building of a latrine and provision of a water tank, but we don't actually have any class-rooms yet! Classes meet in a little tin-roofed church, under a mango tree, or in a little temporary grass and reed shelter that we have built.

PIGGERY
I am also building a piggery for the adjacent Diocesan Farm, and investigating Oxen ploughing. We want a centre here to train nearby subsistence farmers in better methods of agriculture. (Medical and School Sponsorship projects are also doing good work with the Mityana Charity.)

JOY
The real joy of Mityana for me is visiting the villages, teaching, preaching and praying with the people. They have really won my heart - especially the children. The home groups I started are doing amazing work in some of the villages, and I am looking forward to returning again in February.

MU
I went out to visit your new link branch MU and had a very good time with them. They were delighted to hear all about Holy Trinity. My only concern was that it was rather remote from Mityana town, and would be a bit of a drag if ever anybody wanted to visit. Also a bit difficult to get anything out to them. They did a quick letter for you, and I will post it as soon as I can get my act together!

Roger came out to Uganda with me for the first ten days of my last visit. He had sent out 23 renovated computers for the local college and hoped to get them all working, but unfortunately they had not been able to afford to get the electrics fixed in time. However, we had a good time at the Game Park together !) Thank you for all your support.

I pray that the light and love of Christ will fill your life and your home this Christmas
love
