Jill with a 'J' says
Dear Readers
"What has happened to our Parish magazine this month ?" I can hear you all
cry as you flick through this somewhat reduced edition! Well, we don't
normally publish at this time of year but I felt you should all have the Parish
Diary for September, as I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on their harvest
Festival Service or suppers.
See you next month.
Regards
Jill with a 'J'

The Harvest
|
The silver rain, the shining sun,
The fields where scarlet poppies run,
And all the ripples of the wheat
Are in the bread that I do eat.
So when I sit for every meal
And say a grace, I always feel
That I am eating rain and sun,
And fields where scarlet poppies run.

A Heartfelt Thank You
I am writing this note of thanks to you all for your prayers and good wishes during my recent stay in Heatherwood Hospital.
I am very relieved to say that all went well with this left hip replacement and I came out of hospital on Saturday 7th August
using walking sticks, a great improvement of the previous right hip replacement. I cannot praise the staff at Heatherwood enough for the
care and attention that I received, the ward was spotless and the attention paid to hygiene was excellent. Joyce and I would like to
say how much we valued your thoughts, cards, prayers and visits. It is early days and so I will not be able to come to any of the services
for a little while, but if you would like to visit of phone me at home I would be delighted
Once again I would like to say how much I valued your thoughts and prayers during my hospitalisation and also how much I will value your continued Christian friendship.
