Giving for Growth

Stewardship Campaign 2007 - Outcome

Many thanks to those of you who responded to the recent ‘Giving for Growth’ campaign. The outcome of the campaign can be summarised as follows:

100 responses were received to the letters sent to everyone on the Electoral Roll, an overall response rate of 36%.

Of these 100 responses:

  • 4 people have said they will reduce their giving.

  • 12 people have kept their giving unchanged.

  • 11 people have indicated they will increase their giving, without specifying the amount.

  • 73 people have pledged to increase their giving by a total of £332 per week (equating to £17,264 per year, or 48% of the target amount).

  • £105.20 in one-off donations was received.

  • 18 people have joined the Planned Giving Scheme (eight by banker’s standing order, and ten by blue envelopes).

Although the campaign has not achieved its target of increasing income by £692 per week for the Bracknell Team Ministry, it has nevertheless been very worthwhile. The total pledged/donated of some £17,400 per year will do much to help the BTM’s finances, though it still leaves us short of what we need.

If you did not reply to the stewardship letter, we would still like to hear from you in confidence as to your future level of giving to the Parish - please contact me either by post at the Langley Hall, by telephoning 01344 456951, or by email at Richardbeaumont2003@hotmail.com.

The PCC are in the process of agreeing the Team Ministry’s budget for 2008, and we will give you an update on that shortly, including the outcome of our appeal against the Parish Share required from the Parish by the Deanery.
